Eyes on the Finish Line
The Book of Acts 20:24 says: However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
It is easy to get distracted by the uncertainties of tomorrow. When Paul addressed the leaders of Ephesus in Acts 20, he knew difficulties were waiting for him in Jerusalem. Yet, his gaze was fixed on something far greater than circumstances: finishing his race with joy.
Living with purpose doesn’t mean having a trouble-free life. It means having an anchor in the middle of life’s unpredictable moments.
Whatever season of life you find yourself in today, God has given you an assignment. It may be encouraging your family, serving your community, sharing a word of hope, or standing firm in prayer. Don’t worry about how far you have to go. Just focus on walking faithfully today, keeping your eyes on the One who guides your every step.
